Changes are coming to the Wildlife Resources Division! The Wildlife Resources Division has begun the process of reorganizing to streamline the agency and increase efficiency. Here’s what you need to know:
What changes are happening?
- The Game Management and Fisheries Management sections are realigning to form a total of 6 regions going forward: two North Georgia regions, a Middle Georgia region, and three regions in South Georgia. This means Game Management will lose a region while Fisheries will gain an additional region.
- The modifications will mirror DNR Law Enforcement’s recent reorganization ultimately allowing us to work more seamlessly as a division and agency, and provide better customer service.
When should you expect to see changes?
Some changes will take effect immediately with a completion goal of July 2020.
What does this mean for our customers?
- You may notice outdated information on our website and pages during the transition. Website updates will begin February 10 and should take about a week to complete.
- Until February 16, 2020, please use the contact information available at the links below as the most up-to-date information for region resources.
WRD appreciates your patience while we complete the reorganization process and work to make your customer service experience even better.
