With the warm weather forecasted this weekend, the flier bite on the Okefenokee will be hard to beat as far as numbers go. Bass fishing should be excellent in southeast Georgia over the next couple of weeks as the big females move shallow.
The weekend weather forecast looks great for north Georgia. Fishing should only get better as spring truly emerges. Trout, walleye and crappie should be your best bets this weekend. Stipers should pick up as reservoir temperatures rebound over the weekend.
Crappie are beginning to move to shallow water to spawn on Lake Seminole. Crappie fishing should continue to improve over the next few weeks in this southwest Georgia reservoir. Some really nice bass were also collected there on a recent electrofishing sample. The Bassmaster Elite Series kicks off their season at Lake Seminole next week, March 13-16!
Don’t forget about Panic Pond on Silver Lake WMA. The 15-acre lake opened to the public last weekend, and has some monster bass!
