Days after Hurricane Helene hit, DNR crews continue to clear debris from the storm, addressing access and public safety issues.

We are grateful to the public for their cooperation and patience. We also encourage all to continue following the guidance from GEMA and local emergency management agencies.

We know there is still a long way to go. But DNR is here for Georgians and committed to helping our communities rebuild.

To follow the recovery effort, see the Wildlife Resources Division’s Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as the social media accounts of sister divisions, including Law Enforcement, State Parks & Historic Sites and Coastal Resources.

And About Wildlife …

On a related note, another impact from Helene is wildlife showing up in unexpected places. Hurricanes can move and displace wildlife.

Please be aware of your surroundings. And give wildlife the space they need!
